2 Kings 21 is a chapter that speaks to the consequences of the wickedness of King Manasseh of Judah. Manasseh had done much evil in the eyes of the Lord, including sacrificing his own son in the fire, and setting up idols and altars to false gods. As a result, the Lord was angry with Manasseh and the people of Judah, and He sent prophets to warn them of the consequences of their actions. Unfortunately, Manasseh and the people of Judah did not heed the warnings, and the Lord brought judgment upon them. He sent the Assyrians to attack Judah and take Manasseh captive. This chapter serves as a reminder of the consequences of sin and disobedience to God. It is a warning to us today that we must be careful to obey God and not turn away from Him. We must remember that God is a just God and will not tolerate wickedness and disobedience.
